When God Made A Valley Full of Water.

When God Made A Valley Full of Water.

Jehoram, the king of Israel, Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, and the king of Edom were in a predicament.

They had journeyed with their armies for seven days, through the wilderness of Edom, to fight against Moab. But ‘there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.’

‘And the king of Israel said, Alas! that the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab!’

But Jehoshaphat suggested that they enquired of God by a prophet. So they went down to Elisha who told them the message from God.  ‘Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.’

No rain, no wind and yet God would fill the valley with water. Impossible with man but not with God. In fact as Elisha goes on to say ‘And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD:’

The impossible is but a light thing with our God!

Do you have those impossibilities that you are praying for dear soul?

They are but a light thing, an easy thing for the God of heaven and earth, just a trifle to our Heavenly Father!

And the Lord didn’t only provide water in the wilderness, He also delivered the Moabites into their hands.

‘Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:‘

Nothing!

So go on in faith, keep trusting, keep praying, ‘for with God nothing shall be impossible.’

‘Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

With Love

This is just what I needed to be reminded of today! Thank you for this beautiful scriptural truth, and it was also a personal confirmation to me of direction from the Lord via his word and the Holy Spirit!
