How to View God In Changing Circumstances
God says ‘I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.’
God had allowed the children of Israel to be taken into captivity as a result of their going after the gods of the nations around them. But Jesus was coming and those that were truly God’s people would be refined like silver and gold. ‘Tthat they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.’
So God lovingly allows the trials in our lives; not to destroy us but to refine us.
In an ever changing world it’s such a comfort to know that we have a faithful and unchanging God. A God who in His perfect love, is willing to put us in the fire, both individually, as churches and as a nation, to purge out the dross, the impurities within so that we might reflect a little more of His image.
‘I am the Lord, I change not;’
Amidst all the uncertainties of life God remains sure and steadfast.
We have a faithful unchanging God and a faithful unchanging Saviour who is always interceding for us.
‘Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.’
‘I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord. Which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.’
This Friends is the God who lovingly controls every circumstances in our lives and in this world.
This world may feel very unsettled right right now but God is still the same. He’s still on His throne, He’s still in control just as He always has been.
Let us be those wise ones then that ‘Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.’
With Love
