Are we listening for the voice of our Beloved?

Are we listening for the voice of our Beloved?

‘The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.’

With what joy He comes!

And with what joy He will one day come to take us home to be with Himself.  Either through death or when He returns in great power and glory, claim us as His Bride.

Are we eagerly anticipating that day? Listening for the voice of our Beloved?

‘My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice.’

When He looks in does He find us watching and waiting for His return? Or are we too distracted by the world?

What a blessing when we’re looking for Him and get a glimpse of our Saviour, revealing a little of His great love for us.

But there’s a day coming when we’ll see Him face to face, what a glorious day that will be.

Oh the love that will fill His eyes as He looks upon each one of us that He has bought with His own precious blood!

One day the call will come, our Beloved will speak and say unto us ‘Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.’

Are you ready? Will He find you watching and waiting?
