Come! Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
‘And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.’
‘Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.’
Turn aside dear soul. Turn from the busy world with all its rush and noise, with all of its worries and cares, with all its grief and pain and satisfy your thirsty soul in Christ.
Leave the ‘buts’’ behind. This invitation is to all who thirst. Whether you’ve been in the narrow way for many years or whether you now hesitate at the gate; – Come!
Come and find rest in Jesus’ love.
Come and find true joy and perfect peace in His loving arms, in His comforting presence.
Come and abide in Him and let Him live through you.
‘Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.’
Come just as you are.
Come ye needy, come ye thirsty, come ye vile and filthy, come ye dear soul that’s wearied with your own efforts, come just as you are with nothing but sin to bring.
There’s such incredible joy and peace to be found in His presence dear weary one, come and rest.
His heart is full of love and compassion, come and rest your weary soul upon His loving breast, for He longs to hold you close.
‘Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’
See the certainty of these promises. So come dear soul, come and find rest, come and find joy and peace abundant.

Come – A Poem
Come dear hungry, thirsty soul
In the Saviour’s love find rest
Trust Him wholly, trust for all,
Trusting Him, you will be blest.
.
‘Bring no money, My love’s free,
This rich feast is without price,
‘Bend your ear, come unto Me,
Hear Me, and your soul will live.
.
A covenant sure with you I’ll make,
A steadfast and eternal bond,
You I never will forsake,
Now in Me your life is found.
.
Rise my love and come away,
From the busy world now flee,
Leave its worries, grief and pain,
Satisfy your soul in Me.’
.
Leave the ifs and buts behind,
Christ invites you, thirsty one,
Peace and rest find for your mind,
Lean then on His loving arm.
.
Come dear soul, abide in Him,
Just as He abides in you,
Leave behind a world of sin,
Let His Life Be lived through You.
.
Peace and joy beyond all thought,
As with thanks you pray and praise,
These will keep your mind and heart
Safely through your pilgrim days.
.
Fix your mind on things above,
Whatsoever’s true and just,
Pure and honest, full of love,
And God’s peace on you shall rest.
.
To our God then, glory be,
For He’s worthy of our praise,
For this He created thee,
So our songs to Him we’ll raise.
