Is There An If In Your Life?
If…
At the end of Paul’s hearing with king Agrippa, Bernice and Festus, king Agrippa said to Festus, ‘this man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.’
What an ‘if’ that was! An if worked together for good by God. Because when Paul went to Rome and was put under house arrest it helped to spread the gospe and he had time to write some of the letters we have and love in our Bible today.
Is there an if in your life today?
If only I had spoken instead of keeping quiet.
If I’d just done that then rather than leaving it.
If only i hadn’t said that.
If only I’d made a different decision.
If I hadn’t done that things would be so different… etc.
We all make mistakes in life and have regrets but for God’s children it doesn’t end there. God has promised to work all things, even our ‘mistakes’ and the ‘mistakes’, of others together for our good.
There are often repercussions to the things we say and do and yes we need to repent of sin but don’t linger there. Look to your just and yet kind and merciful Father in heaven and trust in His promises, even these hard things will be worked together for your good and His glory.
For ‘we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.’
