In Eden’s garden, God forbade,
But Eve and Adam ate
They innocence for death did trade
For they had disobeyed.
.
The only rule God gave, they brake,
Rejecting God’s pure way.
The path of peace they did forsake,
As man does still today.
.
Their hearts were now stained black with sin,
They hid from God in shame,
But God in mercy had a plan,
To save them from their sin.
.
The punishment for sin is death,
And only blood can pay
the price for sin, appease God’s wrath,
And wash all sin away.
.
So God the Father sent His Son,
Christ Jesus down to Earth.
To live the sinless life we can’t,
And free us from the curse.
.
He took our punishment for sin,
And bore it on the cross,
That all who put their trust in Him,
Will from their sins be washed.
.
With arms outstretched upon the cross
Father, forgive, he cried.
To keep souls from eternal loss,
Upon that cross He died.
.
Our souls washed clean by that pure blood,
That from His body fell,
The price for sin, each penny paid,
The ransomed saved from hell.
.
Relationship restored with God,
The soul true peace and joy,
(As from the curse it has been freed)
Forever can enjoy.
