A Daily Reminder of God’s Faithfulness
Nearly every morning I step out into our garden to see if there’s a sunrise. I love the colours and the beauty of sunrise. But it’s more than that, it’s a daily reminder of God’s faithfulness.
‘It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.’
If you live in England you’ll know that we’ve had a lot of rain over the winter with mostly cloudy skies. This morning as I looked out there was a bank of cloud on the horizon with just a faint glow of the sunrise around it.

As I stood and gazed at the sky as the birds around me sang their Maker’s praise I smiled. Just as the clouds have mostly obscured the sunrise day after day so there are times when we feel to only catch a glimpse of God here and there.
Maybe right now the sky feels cloudy in your life and you don’t feel the warmth of your Heavenly Father’s embrace as you long.
Don’t give up looking dear Soul, your Maker, in His faithful love and mercy, still shines down upon you even through right now the clouds may hide Him from your sight.
And just as those birds have been singing each cloudy morning so your Heavenly Father is still worthy of your praise.
‘Because His compassion fails not.’ There are new mercies for another day.
So pray on, don’t lose heart, keep seeking with all your heart and just as the lover in Solomon’s Song, when you go a little further you will find your Beloved.
‘The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.’
‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD:…’
It’s a promise, so keep praying, keep trusting, keep seeking and keep praising for He is worthy!
